On I-17 between Phoenix and Flagstaff. Dry camping for 14 days. Free. Vault toilets. 31 miles south of Camp Verde, Exit 256. High desert with large number of flat, dirt places for RV, trailer; tents. Very peaceful if parked away from the interstate; otherwise traffic noise (Jake brakes, etc).

This is the location 34.237125,-112.110868 just off Exit 256
This is a nice place, with petroglyphs, and old pueblos, there is a nice trail that leads down to the river where you can sit and relax or climb some of the tall canyon walls, very quiet, bathrooms are well maintained.
