On highway 101 midway between San Francisco and Las Angeles. If you’re looking for a dump site take the Curbaril turnoff 101. Head east, inland. Turn right after you cross the railroad. Go to the end of the road and you will find the water treatment plant that has a dump. There is a pullout right outside of the gate that could be used for overnight parking. Railroads close by . There are two hiking trails in this area . One immediately outside the gate of the water treatment plant. It takes you down by the Salinas river. Go through the railroad tunnel or across the track and turn left you will find another hiking trail that goes up over a hill about 2 miles and circles back.
