I wouldn’t recommend this for camping at all. First of all, Google Maps info is completely incorrect (and the official “directions” are pretty useless, too).
After several hours of driving around and playing with street names using my GPS, I found what appeared to be the only access to the reservoir — several bad dirt roads (not great for driving on unless you’ve got a pickup) which just sort of *end* at the waterfront. This appears to be a fishing spot only.
Now, I suppose it’s possible I somehow missed the main area, but if I did, it’s extremely well-hidden, and unless you are a local, you probably won’t be able to find it, either.
