Beautiful setting. Most of the sites are on the shoreline. Sites are dirt , fairly level and shady. Picnic tables , grills , fire rings, trash cans and pit toilets. Paved parking for boat trailers. There’s a dirt parking lot outside the campground for off loading ATVs so it might be noisy and busy at times but it was very quiet and peaceful when we visited in late May with just one other camper and a few daytime boaters. Fee is $5.00 a night – self pay box at the toilet building.
To get to the campground go south from Kirby on Route 27 for about 1/2 mile and turn west at the sign. Campground is about 2 miles in. The road is a little narrow , not quite two lane. We drove in the middle to avoid branches.
