Beaver Dick Park is located about 5 miles west of Rexburg on Highway 33. It was named after “Beaver Dick,” Richard Leigh, who was one of the last of the real mountain men of this valley. ?A large sign stands over the entrance of the park. The campground has graveled pads, fire rings and tables. It’s located along the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. It is free, unless you wish to reserve in which case there is a fee.

    This is a fabulous find for those of us who look for a well maintained and small campground that is on the waterfront and within 10 miles of good shopping for supplies.

    As of June 2011, this park has been partially closed (actually, all the camping sites) due to a flood. Also, it seems that they sometime started charging $5 a day for camping.
