Fishermans access on Columbia River just below the John Day Dam. Access from the Rufus, Oregon exit on I-84 and cross under freeway towards the dam visitors center, then turn left and go to end of pavement. Open area for camping up to 7 days. Pit toilets in several places on the land. Nice views of the river. A little close to I-84, but there is a berm that blocks most of the traffic noise.

Pretty noisy spot due to the train tracks nearby.
