This campground is off the north side of CR-42 in Weirsdale approx 9 mi west of SR-19 ( Altoona FL ). Its a wide dirt/clay rd just a stones throw west of CR-452. If your traveling west on 42 and you come to “Buck & Doe’s” store, you just passed it, you can u-turn at Buck & Doe’s . If your heading east you can very carefully u-turn at CR-452. All that being said, the brush is too thick for my taste , also the black bears and wild boar don’t usually come to close to CR-42 but keep in mind the campground is deep in the woods from CR-42. I almost hit a black bear last summer 2010 on my Sportster maybe 2 miles from there & that bear looked about the size of a Volkswagen.
