Free camping on BLM land in Safford District. Lots of room. Plenty of camping on either side of road. Dry camping/boondocking. No facilities. Services in the towns of Solomon and Safford which are only a short drive away.

Directions:
From Safford, AZ. Take US-191 N/US-70 E 8.1 mi. Turn right at Haekel Rd and go 1.1 mi. Continue straight onto Hackle Rd.

    The nice part about this location for us was that we had good internet access with our Verizon air card (and Wilson Trucker antenna). It is very quiet, not scenic however, except a good view of Mt Graham. Also decent services in Safford ‘just down the road.’

    went thear dec. 22 2010 and payed the 3 dollar fee to get in when i got to the hot wells was no water flowing. so dont waste u time and money going out thear. we where going to camp thear but nothing thear and about 25 mi to saffard too far out

      The hot well tubs at Hot Well Dunes have been repaired.
      There is now a large solar collector to pump the water
      Great place to explore if you have a 4×4
