Also known as Blodgett Canyon Campground. Developed Forest Service campground in the Bitterroot National Forest. Camping directly in scenic Blodgett Canyon
with close access to trails and rock/boulder climbing or just great scenery. New vault toilets and hand water pump. Only 5 miles from Hamilton, MT but remote. Totally redesigned and will take large rigs. Free this year with a 5-day limit. Only 6 sites, but usually room during week, although the host occupies one of them. It’s a jewel if you are lucky enough to get a site: secluded, beautiful, quiet, trout stream and hiking. There is one vault toilet and potable water from a pump. From Highway 93 in Hamilton, turn west on Main St. Go 1.2 miles, crossing over the Bitterroot River. Right on Ricketts Road. Go 0.5 mile. Left on Blodgett Camp Road. Pavement ends after 1.8 miles. Go another 2.0 miles to the campground.
