This is but one of several dispersed campsites in the wonderful Brooks Lake area between Jackson Hole & Dubois, Wyoming. In addition to dispersed sites there are two official US Forest Svc, hosted campgrounds in the area surrounding this beautiful lake, with fees of $10/night or $5 with a Golden Eagle.
The altitude is 9,200’ and snow lasts well into June. Trout fishing in the lake is very good. Small boating and canoeing is terrific. Hiking will blow your mind! World-class wildflowers! This is a main trailhead into the vast & wild Teton Wilderness. Grizzle country!
