Nestled along a drainage off Shenandoah Mountain in Pendleton County, WV, Camp Run provides an opportunity for camping and nearby boating, fishing, and hiking. There is no fee and no reservations are accepted.
Access From Harrisonburg, Virginia

Follow Route 33 West to Brandywine, WV. At stop sign in Brandywine, take a right onto Route 33. Follow 3.3 miles to the intersection with Route 3 at Oak Flat, WV. Turn right onto Route 3 and follow for 10 miles towards Moorefield, WV to the intersection with Route 3/1 (a gravel/ shale road). Turn right onto 3/1 and follow for 1.5 miles to the intersection with Forest Road 526, turn right, road dead ends in campground. Access on State Route 3/1 and Forest Road 526 can be very rough due to fords and may require the use of a higher-clearance vehicle, such as a pickup truck.

Facilities Available and Season

The campground contains one vault toilet building and 9 individual campsites. Camp Run is open all year long, however, ice and snow may restrict winter use. No drinking water is available.

    I am very interested in camping at camp run, but i am unclear of how far it is from Baltimore. Please send any information that would be helpful on finding the area, and what is needed to camp there.
