To me this is a beautiful spot on the Suwannee.
Campers should bring tent, screening, bug repellent, all food/drink.In summer, one of the hottest places in Florida.
Fishing is excellent!
The Cone Bridge was operated as a toll bridge back in the day; along with other Cone family enterprises such as timber operations, mule trade, and…ummm corn conversion,to put it delicately.
Campers might consider a small loaded firearm in case of bear, moccasins, and intoxicated teenagers at the boatramp/
Spent the night here and it was pretty peaceful if you don’t mind a few animals and some bugs. Met a local fishermen in the morning and he was very nice. He told us all about the area. We did feel comfortable with a loaded firearm for the nights sleep.
