Very nice roadside park at the junction of Highways 283 and 50, just east of Dodge City, Kansas. Sign on site reads, “Free overnight camping allowed.”

    I camped here back in early June, during an an approaching storm. You just need to follow Route 50 out of town. On your way going East, it will be on your left, across from a gas station/truck stop. Trucks use the nearby parking lot to catch a few Z’s. I was not bothered by motorists or the police.
