This is a small National Forest campground. There are only 16 sites. Most of them are far enough apart to allow for a lot of privacy. We have a 25′ class C and had no problems fitting in the sites or navigating through the park. There are a few sites , in the higher numbers, that could accommodate a larger RV but there isn’t any place to turn around. I wouldn’t recommended trying it without checking first with a smaller vehicle. Although the road was muddy and potholed in early May , it was still hard packed enough to drive on.
The creek runs by most of the sites. The picture shows the view from site 1 with the creek in the background.
It’s very easy to get to the campground. It’s right off of Montana Hwy 1 ,about 8 miles south of Philipsburg and about 20 miles north of Anaconda.
