Although the site claims that there are 8 campgrounds in Alberta, the map only has 4 pins.  The following campgrounds should be filed under Manitoba, not Alberta (see the reference to travelmanitoba.net in the URL field): East Goose Lake Campground, CRANBERRY PORTAGE PARK, Cormorant Community Campground and Pierson Campground.

This probably explains why selecting Alberta from the list of provinces shows a map centered on the Sask/MB border!  If you're centering it on the last campground entered, and it's filed incorrectly, then the map will be wrong too.

nchannen,

I already notified Jenn of the error I made during entry. Not too bright these days from pain from my broken leg.

How about helping out adding campsites from the mass import? I've done 33 to 42 so far.

Sure, I'll be glad to help; I didn't realize that help was needed!  Presumably there are instructions somewhere else in this forum; I'll go looking for them tonight and do a bunch.   –Neil

Hi nchannen,

See this thread:

http://freecampsites.net/forum/announcements/mass-import/page-1/

Basically one can check to see if the campsite is free, under $11.00 or over $10.00

I've been going one step farther and adding them to the map as I go–as otherwise someone will have to come along afterwards and "update" the information. (phone number, website and etc.)

Jenn would prefer *not* to have locations such as Walmart–or Meyers stores. Casinos are welcome if they are below the $11.00 threshold. There are a couple of links in the mass import thread that may help with locations and pricing specific to Casinos.

I also check with http://freecampgrounds.com/ when I get my sleeves rolled up. I know that Moving Sue harvested from many sites, but the data is old particularly with regards to pricing.

I'll probably do 32.csv today. I find it takes about 2 hours to go through and enter them "on the fly".

Regards, Pianotuna
