Pianotuna,
You can use the search bar at the top of the site if you know the name of the campground or a string that may be in the description. Jenn has plans for a better interface eventually, but this will work for now.

My 2 cents is the Google map does wonders – esp when you zoom in on a particular area. I love this and it sets this site above all others. However, when you've got 5,000 sites any other search scheme would add that much more.

Well, Jenn has something similiar to the link Pianotuna posted in mind. I've got a different project I'm toying with, but as it's requirements may very well set the server on fire, I don't want to talk about it until I see how feasible it is.
