I thought this place was pretty nice. I didn’t see any trails for hiking but a dirt road looped around the whole campground. I walked that with my dogs a few times a day. Sometimes I could hear trains in the distance but it’s not extremely loud. The loudest noises came from campers running generators or playing music. The little beach area for the lake was nice and the water wasn’t very cold. There are trees near the beach too so you don’t have to sit directly in the sun. That’s the only spot with trees. I took a drive into Havre and felt like I wasted my time. I rode over to the river access road and there are a few camping spots there but it only seems nice if you fish. Overall I thought it was a cool spot but the surrounding area is boring.
Also there are ATV trails. Lots.
