This is a special place visited mostly by locals! Right on the southern border between Grand Teton & Yellowstone Nat’l Parks! West of Flag Ranch along the Ashton/Flag Ranch Road.
Actually, it is in the John D Rockefeller Parkway, which is administered by the Nat’l Park Service so the usual National Park Service rules apply, such as dogs on leashes, etc. But the camping here is what we’d call boondocking or dispersed. However camp only in established camps sites. Most of these nice areas have two or more sites, so you might have neighbors, but often not. The farther west you drive from Flag Ranch the fewer people you’ll encounter. This is also VERY active grizzly bear country so store your food and pay attention!
The road is maintained, but a tad rough right after snow melt, which might be in late June. Fishing in the Snake River for trout is very good! Services at Flag Ranch are complete as they have their own cabins and camp ground, sites here are $50/night so see what a bargain you’re getting
Zoom in with Google Earth and scan the road and you’ll see the several camping areas

The forest service has placed all new restroom facilities in 5-6 small campgrounds along the road that follows the Snake River to the west of Flagg Ranch. Must have been stimulus money but any any case what a surprise to see brand new facilities in the backcountry.
