In National Forest lands immediately adjacent to Grand Teton National Park. Amazing views! I mean REALLY amazing.
Turn east off US 89 (opposite the Cummingham Cabin turn out) and drive up the Forest Svc Rd. 30310. Shortly after leaving the Park (.59 miles) there are a couple of nice sites off to the left suitable for big outfits, but their access may be muddy. If you like continue Rd 30310 a quarter mile and bearing left on to Forest Rd 3340, up the hill and a couple of hairpin turns. DO NOT TAKE THE FIRST user made road on the left as there is a large rock midway in. Continue a short distance to the second user made road on your left, which will take you under a power line out onto an overlook, which in mind has no equal – anywhere! It will take your breath away!
If that site is taken you can continue on up the road where you’ll find a number of great boondocking sites, but maybe not with the fantastic view. Still, we camp there with our houses several times each summer.
We tow a 23’ trailer up there w/o concern and have seen much larger rigs camped there. The Forest Svc roads are gravel/dirt and can be muddy in rainy times.
Bear country so store all foods! No water, dump, etc!

Holy cow- what a fantastic spot!!! We were about to give up on this site since the first 3 sites we checked on were day only, or not there. Glad we didn’t give up- the directions are correct- we got up there in a Lexus ES350- so you don’t need 4 wheel drive when it’s dry. HUGE area to camp and even a table and campfire pit built for us to use when we got there- Thank you to the author of this site, beautiful!
