Natchez Trace Parkway Milepost 193.1
This national park area is named for United States Congressman Thomas Jefferson Busby who introduced a bill into Congress that resulted in the 1934 act authorizing a survey of the Old Natchez Trace.
Drinking water, hiking; 18 sites. On the Parkway. Strangely laid out sites. They are pull thru but aren’t at the same time. We had a hard time deciding if we were taking up two spots. Thankfully, there was only one other camper there.
Bathrooms clean enough but simple, no showers. The sites are curved pull-thrus laid out rather strangely and some are not very level but those are small things especially for a free campground. Nice little trail to the high point overlook area. This is a wonderful place to stay while exploring the Natchez Trace Parkway.

It’s beautiful, it’s free, it’s right by the Natchez Trace Parkway. Primitive but the sites are fine. Very nice wooded setting. It also receives good cellular coverage from AT&T & Verizon. I’m submitting this review from the Jeff Busby Campground. The campground host said “take any site.” It’s all good.
