They changed the name from Daisy Mae Lake to Lake Mauzy several years ago in the Higgins-Henry Wildlife Management Area.

do i need fishing liences
I contacted the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife about the fishing regulations on Mauzy Lake. Here is their reply:
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources said “Yes, you will need a valid fishing license to fish at any of the WMA’s, FINS lakes, or public waters if you are 16 or older. Thank you.”

We have stayed there twice in early spring and enjoyed it very much.I think it would fill up quickly on week ends.
