It is located on Shelby Lake Dr. on the Northwest periphery of Clear Creek Park in Shelbyville, KY. Take 7th St (KY 55) North from the middle of town. Where KY 55 makes a right, continue straight North on Snow Hill Rd. When you come to a “Tee” at the Clear Creek Park boundary, turn left onto Burks Branch Rd which runs clockwise along the Park boundary. Make a right on to Lake Shelby Dr. After about a 1/4 mile, the campground is on the right. Primitive Camping

We live local to this park. We have stayed here a couple of times. Lake Shelby is a small lake more like a really big pond. The facilities are oldish there are toilets and shower picnic area and playground. They have canoes for rent and small boat ramp (john boat size). There’s trees, etc. Sites are fairly close together but it’s not the worse I’ve seen. Plenty of room to stretch. Limited number of sites. They lock the gates at night and campground overseer lives on site.
Also noteworthy this is part of clear creek park, which has other facilities, indoor and outdoor pool, golf course, and much more. If I were driving through with or without a family and wanted a nice place to stay and have fun while camping this would be a fine spot and way better than a box store parking lot.
