We stayed here over Memorial Day Weekend 2009, and were surprised that the park didn’t fill up. Even with it being fairly busy over the weekend, the entire park was quite peaceful. Even more so once the crowds left. Nicely wooded, flush toilets, friendly campground hosts. A perfect spot to stop.. and free! We were able to get a decent cell phone signal here.

Loved this campground! Just pull into an empty spot and that’s it. Quiet and dark during the evening. We stayed in October 2011 and only 1/2 the sites were used. Good hiking and an interesting monument and pioneer cemetary within the same area.
