This George Washington National Forest is located SW of Stokesville, VA. Very remote, but peaceful and quiet. It is an open park-like campground where you can park anywhere. Open all year. No water at CG, has 2 pit privey, however, water and dump station are located nearby (2 miles) at Todd Lake Campground (when open). $5.00/night. Several free sites are available throughout the area. Great CG for hunting and trout fishing. Elkhorn Lake is nearby for boats with electric motors. Trails for horseback riding and hiking. 9 miles to Stokeville Market for supplies.
