Hi Campers!
Forest road 10, which travels from Danby/Mt.Tabor and Route 7 to Landgrove/Peru closes around the end of October or at the first snow, whichever is first, and reopens usually in late April or early May, depending on snow conditions. There is a stream running near the Old Job Shelter. You should boil or treat the water before drinking. The bridge across the stream was damaged by an ice drift in 2007, so crossing the stream in high water can be difficult. Locally, Danby and Mt. Tabor have a few places to resupply and the Danby Post Office is accustomed to sending and receiving packages for hikers and campers. Happy Camping!
