the directions to the Pioneer Park Campground are take 15th Ave. west off U.S. Highway 85 and go 3 blocks west to Pioneer Park (there is a sign denoting camping area) then turn south (left). You will see the campground sign on the west side of the street at the entrance to the campground. You really can’t go too far south because you will run into the North Platte River if you do. Also the Trail Ruts 9 hole golf course and Register Cliff is not in Torrington. They’re in Guernsey (about 30 miles west on Highway 26) and it is a lot of fun to play Trail Ruts. You can park your RV right off the golf course (electric and water), rent a cart for an entire weekend, etc. and play all the golf you want. The Register Cliff is really worth seeing too. Torrington has a really nice 18 hole municipal course too (rated in the top 100 courses a few years ago in Golf Digest, I believe). It’s just west of Pioneer Park on 15th Ave. approximately 1 mile (just go as far west as you can on 15th Ave. and you’ll be there). Sorry, lots of coal trains rumble through town these days. Used to be quiet before the coal. It is really nice on the golf course, though!
