Beach camping, but watch out for blowing sand and salt spray. Be prepared to thoroughly wash your RV after you leave.
Beach parking requires a sticker from the city that can be purchased in many places, including convenience stores. At the time of this listing, it is $12 for an annual pass. See the website for details.
Camping is limited to 3 days every 3 weeks. So the actual cost is around $4 a night if you only stay 3 days during the year.

Not to pick nits, but this is actually Mustang Island. There are designated areas right on the beach where RV’s can be parked overnight. But be aware of the wind, drifting sand, and salt spray. But you’ll be camping only a few feet from the Gulf… how can you beat that?
