Total quiet last night. Just us and a bald eagle perched above.
Clean bathrooms were open, no flush toilets.
Take Monument Rd exit and then follow Lake Desmet Rd short distance and you will see an entrance on the left.
This place, is not free. It is 10 bucks a night, and for tent camping, that is not what I was looking for. I went around the lake a little, and there was a pull off area, but, no bathroom. If you don’t mind paying the 10 bucks a night, and there is a 2 week limit on staying, go for it. It will accommodate a 30 foot 5th wheel. Bathrooms are nice, well, latrines, but, to me it was not worth it for tent camping.
