This is a great place to camp, hike, bike, and off road. There is parking/camping at the gates. The forest is open dawn to dusk. Ranger lives in Forest, so if you get locked in, you either wait till the morning or pay a fine to let you out.
Forest is very active during the summer to ATVers and Motorcycles so noise level can be high. Lots of hiking trails and the Cumberland Trail passes through the Forest.
