BLM campground along the San Juan River. Most of the sites are fairly large except for the really nice ones along the river. Just a few of the sites have shade trees.
Nice petroglyphs on the rock walls across from the campground.

Stayed here in early spring 2008; great access to eastern canyons and parks, and campsites here soooo scenic but extremely dusty roads in camp if traffic there. Quiet during the week, river access for kayak or canoe possible, even. Not geared for big rigs at sites, but can accommodate.
Stayed here this April 2012. Water is available in the campground by the registration kiosk. One loop for RVs (B loop) and one for tents. Most sites are long enough for our 40′ MH. Great views and petraglyphs. Very dusty!!! Price was $10 or $5 for seniors.
We stayed one night, 7/11/12, in space 13 since we had our choice of any of the spots. Shaded by several large cottonwood trees and near the petroglyphs we had a very quiet night. Our price was $10 for the night.
