From April 1 to October 20, sites are $12 per night. The campground is open all year round; it is free during the rest of the year. I stayed here (free!) during November, and was the only person camping — very quiet!
As with most FS campsites, it is very basic — outhouses, fire rings and picnic tables only. No hookups, dump station, flush toilets, cell reception, etc. The 16 km logging road isn’t as bad as it looks; the worst part is right at highway 4, with a steep climb.
This campground received a MAJOR upgrade in 2001; it has 80 sites, a marina and enough space for even the largest RVs to manouver. Access is on the Maggie Lake FS road, 12 km east of where highway 4 makes a sharp turn by the road to Ucluelet.
