Free dry camping just off Highway 86 and S San Joaquin Rd. This is a little patch of BLM in the middle of major development. Nicer than you might expect. Desert trees and a picturesque rocky hillside.

    This place is loud and crowded. It’s right near two busy roads; one is a highway. There’s an airfield nearby with those searchlights on all night. If you’re in an RV, maybe you won’t mind, but as I’m in a tent, I got there at 9PM, looked around, and went farther down 86 to a dead end stretch of BLM for the night and broke camp this A.M.

    This is a great website, very helpful :)

  2. Stopped by 1/12/2011. Area is currently closed due to work on gas lines. Signage states closure dates as 1/4/11 to 4/1/11.
