They are actually between mile markers 72 and 73, not 73 and 74 as noted in the write-up. Also, the entrances from the roadway are rather steep and I guess my 40' MH would have bottomed out had we tried to get into either of these campgrounds. I looked at these sites 6/5/10. We found it by chance in Aug 2009 after discovering the campground in Capitol Reef was full. We scored a scenic spot and stayed there for a few nights, as we able to boost up a cellular signal out of Torrey. The park rangers were sending their overflow from the park campground here.. so it's an officially recognized boondocking spot. We concur.. this is an amazing find.
