This is a very small gravel/dirt lot in a valley in the woods along a creek near the Green River Lake. Our 34′ rig with a 20′ trailer fits here. Beautiful wooded area with a small intermittent stream that runs beside the sites. Pit toilets in need of repair. Fire rings and tables. Plenty of firewood laying around the woods.
Directions from Campbellsville, KY: Take Highway 70 east about 3 miles to right onto Highway 76 east just past Elk Horn. Go about 4 miles and turn right on Old Key 76 Road (Wilson Creek Road on left). Go another mile or less and camping is on the right. There are 5 campsites. Lots of activities, nature, walking trails, fishing, boating and other campgrounds all over the Green River Lake area.

Went here on Easter. Wish states had more places like this. Son and I spent the day catching crawdads and frogs. There was 1 other campsite in use they didn’t show up till later. It did look like they had been there a while more like it was there getaway but who knows. Locals seem to come there to shoot and get out. It is a wildlife recreation area so it’s to be expected and kinda nice. Road getting to it was nice and paved. Lots of turn around ability. Directions given by other post where spot on. You will pass a couple other recreation areas that are not camping ones. Green river lake is very close I didn’t walk there but I’m thinking you probably could.
