Dispersed camping all the way up the 127a where you can find spots. We were in a car with tent and found a good spot where the marker is, before us by the main road were a few RVs and a few others came in the night. we didnt venture further up the dirt track, but were advised you can camp anywhere up as far as the gate on the 127a which gives about a mile of options. good dirt road, slight incline. There was no water in the creek in June 2017.

I like this spot. Roads too busy though.
The horses are not starving like someone commented. They are alive and well.
Stayed here with a passenger vehicle and a tent. Nobody uno would stay here again.

Some good spots but zero cell service

Great spot with proximity to town. There are only 4 or 5 pullouts along this road but a couple of them can handle upwards of three RVs. We went with our 30' 5th wheel and maybe 3 of the sites could have accommodated us. The last pullout is a pretty big one with a loop that you can use as a turn around. Don't go past this one if you're in a big rig as there isn't much space to turn around at the gate up ahead. A small class c might be able to pull around but it would have been real hairy with our 5th wheel. I would not recommend bringing a toy hauler or anything north of 36' here without scouting first. You could get in there but turning around to get out would be extremely challenging.
There is no ATT or Verizon cell service anywhere along the road.
Stayed here in a 30 foot-long Fifth Wheel (RV). Mammoth Wool would not stay here again.
Beautiful Spot with plenty of space. Drove my van up to isolated area along creek. Woken up to wild horses - friendly. They’re starving unfortunately and need food. Able to hike off trail around creek. Scout the dog loved it. No cell or internet service.

Beautiful but RV's pull into first spot on left!

We took our 24' fifth wheel there. Site at the beginning is best to stop at with RV. It's next to road but not a busy one. We went about 3/4 the way down the 1 Mile road. Wouldn't do that again. Not made for anything but small truck campers or pull behinds. Road is to rough. Beautiful place for sure!

By sharing camping information freely, we can all spend less time researching campgrounds, spend less money, and more time camping. Whether you enjoy tent camping, car camping or RV camping, our goal is to help you find the best places to go camping. We believe that free camping areas are often the most beautiful and peaceful camp sites. Our focus is on public lands. You own these lands and you are entitled to use them. We especially like camping on Forest Service land, BLM (Bureau of Land Management) areas, WMA's (Wildlife Management Areas) and county or city parks. We hope you enjoy the same style of camping.
We are not actively seeking Wal-Marts, truckstops or other parking lots and will not be adding very many of these. There are enough Wal-Mart and truck stop directories out there already. However, if a member of the community finds one of these locations to be useful for overnight RV parking and creates an entry, we may approve the listing.
Lovely spots within minutes of hiking trails. Was very busy when we arrived on a Friday, by Monday most people had cleared out.
