This is a really great free spot. As stated, six sites spread out around the loop. We stayed there first on a Friday in October, pulled in after dark and there were two others. The road in is just to the right of the vault toilet. There were a few deep puddles that won't be a problem for most trucks, but be careful with small cars. Take a right, first space is abandoned trailer, second space is small, but fit our full sized van, third space would be good for a trailer. Fourth is by a trail head and a little more open. We didn't look at the fourth to sixth much. We stayed there another night on Wednesday and were by ourselves for a cold, rainy night. Except for the trash in all the fire pits, it was really nice, and the sites are spaced out. It's worth noting, there's a house at the corner coming in where the dirt road meets pavement that sells firewood. They have an honor system bucket up against a shed about 50 ft off the paved road. Bring all your water and TP and plan to carry your trash out. We cleaned up our site from previous occupants and the site next to us.
Road in is great, little dusty since it's been so dry. Great camping spots that have some privacy from each other. Sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Stayed at spot 2. Seem to be 5 or 6 total spots. Unfortunately, some one staying at one of the spots ran a generator all day, ugh!
Definitely make the hike to the falls, worth the effort.
Stayed here in a 8 foot-long Trailer (RV). Brian would stay here again.

Relax with waterfalls
We love nature so that waterfalls at this location were awesome!!! You can hear them from your campsite and they are just a short distance away. Be sure and drive past the parking lot and pavilion and find the 6 campsites. Pit toilet a bit old and not the nicest...but we'd stay here again just for the waterfalls and campsite area. Very quite and peaceful.
Stayed here in a 12 foot-long Trailer (RV). Annette would stay here again.

Great place to camp
Great place to camp. Bring your swimsuit. Many hiking trails for beginners and intermediate hikers. Large clean camp site. Bring enough drinking water and campfire woods. Negative: people litters. No trash cans.
Stayed here in a Passenger Vehicle. RoamFree would stay here again.

This was my first car camping experience. Was super easy to find using the coordinates. Access roads are well-kept. Firepits. Secluded location. Nice and quiet. Would highly recommend. I have U.S. Cellular. Internet worked fairly well.
Lisa would stay here again. Is this review helpful? 1 0

Super hike with camp ground
Nice camp ground and a great spot to hike! Lots of open spot when we were here and only a few day hikers at the main parking lot. Bathroom is open and not super clean but usable!
Stayed here in a 8 foot-long Truck Camper (RV). Mike would stay here again.

Good for tenters
Nice campsites for tenters, not very RV friendly. Only one site an RV would fit, camping loop has mudholes and low hanging branches. No AT&T service. Road going in is gravel and in really good shape.
Stayed here in a 21 foot-long Class C (RV). Larry would not stay here again.

Love it
Stayed here Memorial Day weekend this year. Absolutely NO other campers. There was some traffic, but they were just going to the falls. It was really nice and quiet. Could let our dogs off the leash the entire time, didn’t have to worry about other dogs, or ticks. Didn’t find a single tick on our dogs. Hiked down the the lower falls, hiked up the river a little bit around a bend, and swam in the little whirl pool. Keep your legs out and get ready for rocks if you swim it. It was a good fun little campsite. Just make sure you bring your own water for the dogs, as it or a hike down the stairs to the falls. Definitely going to come here again.
Stayed here with a passenger vehicle and a tent. Kaylee would stay here again.

Small free campground at the end of a gravel road at Potato River Falls in Gurney, WI. This is a nice park for hiking to different views of cool waterfalls. There is a 14 day limit, pit toilets, pavilion, no water. Run by Iron County Forestry Dept.

What a lovely campground! A true hidden gem. As others mentioned, follow the small dirt road from the parking lot. Went on a weekend during October and there was only one other camper. Private, serene, and lovely.
Stayed here in a Truck Camper (RV). Leah would stay here again.
