Stopped in on a road trip in late May 2023. Relaxing place. Employee was friendly. Took a spot in the back mostly surrounded by forest with a view of the river. Spot #5. Running water spigot. Fire pit with grill. Picnic table. Good cell service. I would come here again.

Stayed here with a passenger vehicle and a tent. C would stay here again.

This campground has gotten a lot more pleasant since they now charge. All earlier reviews, before the charge, about the empty campers and tents has gone by the wayside. I was there May of 2018, and plan to return there this April. The locals that used and abused the place have been reduced to almost none. The ones I made friends with were very nice people.

Stayed here with a motorcycle and a tent. Tom Ethen/Van Man would stay here again.

Stayed here for two nights in April 2018. $5 per night, paid in cash to power company employee. Arrived in the dark on a Friday night. 4 campsites were still available. Loud group stayed nearby which was disruptive our entire stay. Still, it's a lovely spot and a nice campground. Large spots. Water views. Lots of trees dripping with Spanish moss. Showers are actually in a building outside the campground by the dam. A large sign says restrooms are closed but they aren't. They are for campers to use. Lots of downed wood available across from lakefront properties nearby. Water in campsites is marked non-potable. Gate is locked at night (10 pm, I think)--we barely made it in time.

Stayed here with a passenger vehicle and a tent. Kelsee Purdy would stay here again.

Quick stop here for a few nights. We had it all to ourselves the 1st night & a tent camper the 2nd. Hot showers & clean bathrooms, quiet area. Pretty area to go for a run through the neighborhood/farm area. Tons of garbage, we picked up what we could. Not bad for a quick overnight.

Stayed here in a Trailer (RV). Buysnco would not stay here again.

We stayed here Monday Feb. 27, 2018 Easy to find, just follow the directions given to Power Dam RD, when you get to the end of the road fork to the left through the a gate, this will lead you directly into the campgrounds. We arrived about 9:30 pm. the local polce or dam security patrolled abut 10 minutes later and at about 10:00pm the power company worker came by and checked us in. It is a good idea to have correct change to pay the $5.00 fee!! But the sites are large and very nice. Very quiet except for the sounds of the spillways and wildlife. We were the only campers there and had the park to ourselves. Really great place if you are traveling, about 15 miles from I-75 just a mile or so off Hwy 300 and close to the Ga-Fla Parkway (Hwy 19)

Stayed here in a 28 foot-long Class C (RV). Gary C would stay here again.

Beautiful place!! Stayed on a Monday night and were the only campers there! Very quiet except for the sounds of wildlife and the spillways on the dam across the lake. Roomy, level sites with plenty of room for 30' rigs Well patrolled, staff registered us right on the site when they came through to lock the gate for the night. If you like to find great campsites while traveling I would highly recommend this facility. About 15 miles off I-75 south of Cordele, 1 mile from GA300. And if you not in a hurry traveling south toward Florida 300 connects to the GA-Fla Parkway (19) which takes you all the way to I-10 or US 27 near Tallahassee, FL

Stayed here in a 28 foot-long Class C (RV). Gary C would stay here again.

Staying here for the night. Nice place, arrived around 5:30pm and only 2 rv sites were taken. At least 1 person, maybe 2 arrived after us. Water hookup at site. THIS SITE IS NO LONGER FREE When registering, we were told as of 10/5/2016 there is now a $5 per night charge. I can only guess this is because folks were residing here. There is a woman screaming since we've arrived who sounds intoxicated. I'm hoping she stops when it's 10pm. We are not camped next to them, but across from them. The sites are set up in a circle.j

We are able to get a full wifi signal here with our hotspot (using Verizon). Only a couple of miles from a gas station.

Stayed here in a 20 foot-long Trailer (RV). Manda would stay here again.

We arrived here after dark on a Sunday night. All 10 campsites were "taken". One had an unoccupied tent on it, the only handicapped spot contained an unoccupied trailer and then there was one spot with a name on it but was empty. One of the other campers told us the occupant had left that day, so we took the spot. The campsites are gravel and pretty level. We set up and stayed overnight without incident, no loud generators or party crowd. In the morning an official came around and told us the previous occupant would be back that day. We were leaving anyway. This place is off the beaten path but it's nice. The road is paved all the way. We are self contained so didn't use the shower or restroom. You could hear the sound of the water through the spillway all night. We would definitely stay here again!

I would recommended calling before you make your way to this campsite. We pulled up and the gate was locked. After calling the power company at the number listed by other reviewers, we learned that high water levels had caused flooding and the campsites won't be open for at least a few more days.

Pretty impressed with this spot considering it's free. Even had water hookups at each site. There were some people running generators all night and some folks that were blaring radios until late, so may not be for everyone but if you're looking for a free campsite this place is certainly a nice find.

Well others comments about empty campsites was true. I showed up out of 10 campsites only 2 were being used 6 had just tents no one there at all all day and night on site a teen couple show up 9:58 and turn on music and open car doors and start to party. There were two empty sites and right after i show up another campsite walk over to empty site and set up tent call to register after park ranger left they go back to other site where they slept while there empty tent kept anyone else from coming in. It made me sick. Park ranger drove thru at 10 about 45 mins later music got louder i wanted to go take there keys and throw them in river. Then second site turns on there bass in there truck and everyone starts to party. Ok.... So if u want sleep dont come here its really nice here but people ruin it. Rotten food in garbage cans should be burnt really if cans arent emptied often. Hey its a free site but really they should charge 5 a day or something to stop the site saving.good notes.. If u lookd by all the trash along bank water is nice and clear and cold felt nice i like the sound of dam water falling sounds like a water fall nice place with a little more supervision. Park ranger drove thru at 10:00 but there music was lower but still annoying. No car radios should be allowed at all in a campsite.

Very nice little campground managed by the county power commission. A county employee will come through the campground and register campers. 14 day limit then you must leave but may return after 4 days. Follow Tom Ethen's directions or Robin's co-ordinates. We didn't see any restrooms.

We camped here on a weekday in the spring. Only two sites were opened when we arrived. Most of the sites had tents set up but few sites had people actually camping. The tents seemed to used to save the sites for the weekend. :-(

I'm sitting in Site 2 with GPS coordinates of N31.84756 and W83.9544537. Also, exact address that can be plugged in GPS is 961 Power Dam Rd, Warwick, GA. It is actually at the dam on south end of lake. 229-535-6275 is still good and said to be manned 24/7…. and call if any problems. Site 2 gets most sun for portable solar panels as it is along spillway bank. Had to move panels around some. Water spigot at each site and big trash cans scattered thru park.

Arrived early dark eve. A camper shouted over his loud generator that we could 'just pic any spot! His Home Depot loud genny ran all night and most of day, except when he had company and needed to be able to hear them talk. Constant yapping dog, too. There are 2 other travel trailers parked but have yet to see people at site (18 hrs).

Electric employees came by about 10am and registered. Very nice and helpful. Gave copy of registration which included rules…. Quiet time 10pm to 7am (they reminded genny man) They said hot showers and bathroom free at campground entrance. Will post updates at end of our stay.

The symbol on the map is at the wrong location. If you're coming from the North, you must turn right at 300 going South to Warwick. After crossing over a bridge, turn right on Power Dam Rd. Go all the way to the end of the road. From the South take 300 from Albany.

I guess if it is called "Kill-a-brew" I should have wondered. I didn't. It was getting late and I needed a place to stay. There is no park in this area. Only cotton fields. I think there was 3 churches on Allison road. I went down it at least 3 times, from both directions. There is a KOA a mile and a half from there, though. Hmmmm.
